The majority of the team have been together since Under 6. During this time, many of them experienced football for the very first time, through fun and engaging weekly training sessions.
Due to high attendance when moving to Under 7, in season 2015/16, two separate teams were formed – Tower Hill and Tower Hill Stars.
The first game played that season resulted in a loss. However, the improvement made by the team during that first competitive season was significant, resulting in a win against that very same team just a few weeks later. That trend of improvement has continued over the course of the past 3 seasons.
The key aim for the team is to play with positivity and confidence, regardless of the result; lots of game time for everyone; and above all else……..to enjoy their football!
We play in the Witney & District Youth Football League, with games taking place on a Saturday morning and training on a Friday evening.
Jointly managed by Jamie Jackson and Ben Bishop. Both of whom are football fanatics, having played from a young age right up to senior football (with Jamie still ‘attempting’ to play veterans football!). They initially took up coaching roles at Tower Hill due to their own sons’ participation in the team.
FA Level 1 coaching certification was gained in November 2016 but they recognise they are still very much on the learning journey.
Their aim is to provide a safe, secure and happy environment in which the players can maximise their talents, without losing the smiles on their faces.
We will try our level best to respond in a timely manner. However, the club are run entirely by volunteers which means it may take a little longer to get back to you.
