The Team was formed 3 years ago with the current players and play in the Oxford Mail Girls Football League. It all started a year before as an U11 Team. At the end of the season the promotion of girl’s football by the Club resulted in the team being spilt on ages and three teams being formed; the current U15, U14 and U13 Vixens teams.
The Team has demonstrated improvement every year, finishing runners-up in the League last year. A final in the league cup and semi-finals of league and county cup have been achieved. In 2016 the Team won the U14 Oxfordshire FA Futsal tournament and represented Oxfordshire in the Regional finals in East Sussex.
Last year the Team’s progress was filmed by BBC Get Inspired for part of their FA Peoples Cup coverage. There was a surprise visit by England player Alex Scott at a training session.
Training take places on Tuesday evening, with matches taking place on Saturday mornings. The team ethic is fun, friendship, respect and teamwork.
The team is supported by the head coach Paul Riley, and coaches Martin Davies, James Shiplee and Graham Smith. Paul and James are currently close to achieving a UEFAB licence (level 3 football qualification) and Martin and Graham are level 1 coaches.
We will try our level best to respond in a timely manner. However, the club are run entirely by volunteers which means it may take a little longer to get back to you.
